- COVID-19 ADVISORY-
Suspension of Church Services and Programs from 21 March to 30 April (inclusive)
26 March 2020
Dear members and friends of The Bible Church,
Greetings in the Name of the Lord! I pray that despite our ongoing COVID-19 crisis, you are trusting and walking close to the Lord!
As you know, in the latest advisory by MOH on 24 March 2020, all large group religious activities have been suspended at least until 30 April 2020.
As such, we as a church will be adopting the following measures:
1. We will continue to suspend our weekend Services and stream them online through our FaceBook page (http://www.facebook.com/thebiblechurch/) or website (English service: https://www.biblechurch.sg/live; Chinese service: https://youtu.be/RKWMn9nd-kU), at least until 30 April, subject to further advisories.
2. The Good Friday and Easter services will also be streamed online, without any physically-gathered services. Also, Easter baptisms will be suspended and postponed to 31 October & 1 November.
3. Holy communion will not be conducted at least until 30 April. If the suspension continues thereafter, we may consider providing communion in other formats.
4. Facilities at Clementi Bible Centre are closed to all unless you are attending to church related matters, at least until 30 April. We seek your understanding as the premises are also used by CWK children. Incidentally, we are also taking this window to do a deep cleaning of the church premises.
5. Some are wondering how we may give our tithes & offerings. You may either use our electronic payment mode or send your cheques to the Church. Guidance on mode of giving will also be communicated during live streaming, through e-bulletin and WhatsApp poster.
6. We encourage all CGs and Youth DGs to meet through online platforms, especially if the numbers are close to or more than 10 persons. Some helpful tips on using ZOOM or Google Hangouts are appended at the bottom of this email.
7. The leaders are determined that we continue to care pastorally for everyone. During this period of uncertainty and anxiety, all the more we must support and pray for one another. Please call, text or email the church office, the staff team members, or your CGLs, if you have any pastoral or prayer needs or know of others who have such needs. We would love to connect with you/ them.
Please continue to pray for each other, that the Lord will have mercy on us - as a church, city and global community in this ongoing pandemic. You may click this link (http://tiny.cc/2020-04Prayer) to access this month's church prayer items.
Continue to pray for all persons and nations affected (Psalm 91; Ephesians 6:18; James 5:15; 3 John 2).
“18. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”
“15. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.”
Thank you!
Blessings,
